Savannah Boys captured the 2026 North Zone Cricket Council T20 title with a hard-fought eight-run victory over Combine All Stars Sports Club in the final at the Brian Lara Recreation Ground on Saturday.
After being sent in to bat, Savannah Boys posted a competitive 168 for eight from their 20 overs, thanks mainly to a solid middle-order effort led by Riaf Ali and Roshan Sookoo.
Riaff top-scored with 41 off 32 balls, striking one four and two sixes, while Roshan Sookoo added 24 from 21 deliveries.
Ameer Ali then provided the late fireworks with an unbeaten 25 off just 12 balls, including two fours and two sixes, to push the total beyond the 160 mark.
Savannah Boys recovered well after slipping from 50 for one to 76 for six inside the first 10 overs.
The late-order resistance proved decisive as they added valuable runs in the closing overs.
For Combine All Stars, Josiah Kay was the standout bowler with four wickets for 24 runs from his four overs.
Kerwin Gonzales chipped in with two for 39, while Steven Alfonso claimed one wicket.
In reply, Combine All Stars fought bravely but were restricted to 160 for eight from their 20 overs.

However, Savannah Boys kept striking at key moments to deny their opponents momentum.
