North will attempt to book a place in the semifinals of the TTCB U17 Inter-Zone tournament when they face North-East in a Round 3 match at Brian Lara Recreation Ground on Thursday.
North fell to a nine-wicket loss to East in the tournament in the opening round before bouncing back to defeat Tobago by 106 runs last Thursday.
Victory over North-East in Santa Cruz would put North in a great position to make it to the semifinals, which are carded for 5 April.
In the other Group A match, Tobago hosts East at Shaw Park.
In Group B, South-West and Central clash in Rousillac, while South and South-East lock horns at Naparima College Grounds in San Fernando.
In Round 2 action last Thursday, North set Tobago a stiff target of 234 for victory at Shaw Park.
The innings of 233 in 42 overs was largely built around a partnership of 102 off 24 balls between Ryan Yearwood (81) and Ishmael Ali (28 not out).
Tyrell Guisseppi provided some late impetus with 32 not out, while Josiah Nicholls (20) kept things steady in the middle order.
For Tobago, Kadell Richards was the pick of the bowlers with 4 for 50, while Brandon Melville (2/51) and Jayshean Baptiste (2/52) also found success with the ball.
When Tobago batted, only Brandon Mark Bown (40) and Jayden Kent (20), who has been brilliant for Tobago’s U19 team, resisted before the innings ended at 117 in 35.2 overs.
Umar Mohammed (3/14) and Caiden Mack (3/35) were the standout bowlers for North in the 106-run victory.
