El Socorro Youth Movement (EYM) and Pole 9 face further threats to their title ambitions when Round 4 of the North Zone league competition commences on Saturday, March 2.
EYM travels north to take on North Side Future Stars in a top-of-the-table clash in the Senior Division.
The leaders have 75 points from three games while North Side is on 46 points and can severely dent the El Socorro team’s title ambitions with victory this weekend.
Savannah Boys are still in the frame for the title, despite a slip-up against QPCC North Zone last week.
They face struggling Glenora Sports Club, while QPCC travels to Barataria to face the Ball Players.
Paragon Sports and Cultural Club, who took first innings points from Glenora last week, face bottom club Santa Cruz Sports at Diego Martin Central Secondary this weekend.
In Division One, Pole 9 put their impressive start to the season on the line when they come up against Bourg Mulatresse CCC at the Ato Boldon Recreation Ground.
Pole 9 has 71 points after three games, while Bourg Mulatresse is in fourth place (25) after a strong showing against St Mary’s College North Zone at the same venue.
St Mary’s have another difficult task in Round 4 taking on second-placed Shannon Sports Club at home on Serpentine Road.
A victory for Shannon this weekend could be detrimental to Pole 9’s title hopes.
Third-placed Invincible (44) take on fifth-placed Combine All Stars Sports Club (20) at the Queen’s Park Savannah.
Fatima College North Zone hosts Ebony Sports and Cultural Club in the battle of the bottom two in Division One.
