Barataria Ball Players

Barataria Ball players Sports and Cultural club has been in existence and unsponsored since 1973. The organization remains one of the only surviving clubs among community-based organizations throughout Trinidad & Tobago. More importantly, is the only organization in the Barataria/San-Juan/Laventille and environs which participates in both cricket and football at a national level.

  2. Participation in National Football & Zonal competitions for over 42 years.
  3. Runners up in the National Football League’s Division FA Cup final in 1981.
  4. Produced a number of national footballers.
  5. Well developed youth football program.
  6. Participation in National & Zonal Cricket Competitions since 1978.
  7. Currently in the National Cricket Championship Division.
  8. Fielded three (3) teams in National Cricket League in 2010.
  9. Well established Youth Cricket Programme.
  10. Participated in National Basketball North Zone Competitions.
  11. A well developed community development programme.

Despite several challenges over the years, the organization has been restructured and well poised as we strive to make a meaningful contribution to national development.
