Police Sports Club will face Barataria Ball Players while Savannah Boys will meet Invincible Cricket Club. As the North Zone Cricket Council 40 Over competition semi-finals bowl off on Sunday 15 May. Both Police Sports Club and Savannah Boys are unbeaten in the competition.
At the St. Mary’s Grounds, on Serpentine Road, Barataria Ball Players will come up against Police Sports Club. Barataria, because of a better run rate (+0.171), advanced to the semi-final round ahead of Pole 9 (-0.261). Although Pole 9 defeated them in round two of the preliminary rounds. The improving Barataria will, however, have to come with their A-game against a dominant police outfit to advance to the final.
In the second semi-final, to be played at the Police Barracks in St. James, a confident Invincible Cricket Club will face Savannah Boys, the other unbeaten team in the competition. The only defeat for Invincible came from their encounter with Police and was a credible second in group B with a net run rate of (-0.058).
The two semi-finals promise some exciting action as all four teams possess game-changing players in their line-up.
