North East Under-13 edged North Zone Under-13 by 16 runs at the CIC Ground in Port of Spain on May 11 to make it to the Division 1 final of the TTCB Under-13.
After winning the toss and batting first, North East posted 159 all out in 37.2 overs.
Arun Chanan led the way with a brisk 30 off 43 balls, while Jabari Adams contributed 27 and Divik Latchmansingh anchored the innings with 17.
Extras also boosted the total significantly with 57 runs coming in wides, no-balls and byes.
North Zone’s bowlers shared the wickets around, with Vivek Nandalal grabbing 3 for 11, while Rizwan Ramnanan and Aarav Samooj each picked up two wickets.

In reply, North Zone battled hard but were dismissed for 143 in 32.1 overs.
Dariel Deonarine top-scored with an aggressive 43 from 42 deliveries, while Ethan Thomas made 17 and Jivan Babwahsingh added 15.

Ronaldo Mahase starred with the ball for North East, taking 3 for 13, while Kiran James claimed 3 for 31 to help seal the victory.
Jaylon Sealey also chipped in with a wicket as North East defended their total successfully.
Earlier in the competition, North Zone Under-13 secured an eight-wicket victory over South East Under-13 at the CIC Ground.
South East struggled after choosing to bat first and was bowled out for 117 in 34.1 overs.
Kaiden Elvin top-scored with 22, while Nazari Mohamed made an unbeaten 12 and Shaye Khan contributed 10.
Jivan Babwahsingh was the standout performer with the ball, claiming 4 for 30, while Dariel Deonarine and Pravin Rambaran supported with two wickets each.

North Zone then chased down the target comfortably, reaching 96 for two in 23 overs.
Pravin Rambaran struck 35, while Captain Dariel Deonarine finished unbeaten on 13 alongside Dante Arneaud, who made an unbeaten six.

North ended with 12.6 points from their three games with Central Zone (24.8) and North East Zone (15.4) qualifying for the final.
The Division 1 final is set for Friday 15th May.
