The North Side Future Stars etched their name in history on Sunday night, clinching their maiden North Zone T20 Festival title with a commanding seven-wicket win over Glenora Sports Club at the Diego Martin Sporting Complex.
A fiery bowling display laid the platform for victory.
Trevor Padilla spearheaded the charge with 3 for 17, while Kendall Guerra (2/18) and the ever-reliable Kyle Ramdoo (2/33) ensured Glenora never found momentum.
Only captain Kenroy Williams offered resistance, smashing 52 off 33 balls with three fours and three sixes, but his side limped to 121 for 9 in their 20 overs.
North Side’s response was full of confidence and flair.
The in-form Kwesi Fournillier (44) combined with Ramdoo for a brisk 60-run stand, before Ramdoo sealed the deal with a blistering 55 not out from just 32 balls.
His knock, laced with clean hitting, guided North Side home with five overs to spare.
Williams (2/19) and Andy Alexander (1/21) tried to keep Glenora in the fight, but the outcome was never in doubt as North Side’s balanced attack and fearless batting proved too strong.
The night fittingly ended with Ramdoo being named tournament MVP.
The former T&T youth standout was a class apart throughout, finishing as both the leading run-scorer (264 runs at 66.00) and top wicket-taker (11 wickets at 14.80).

North Side, who have thrilled fans with their attacking cricket all tournament, finally have silverware to show for it—an achievement powered by their big three: Ramdoo, Guerra, and Fournillier.
