Invincible Cricket Club

Invincible Cricket Club has been in existence since 1927 (almost 93 years) and was started by Mr. Norman Sookram and Sydney Jagbir. The club participated in the highest level of Cricket (National League) between the years 1927 until approximately 1965 and competed against established clubs such as: Queen’s Park Cricket Club, Maple, Paragon, and Essex to name a few. 

Thereafter Invincible competed in North Zone division One until 1971 when it won the North Zone competition as well as the Island wide Zonal Qualifier against Yorkshire to obtain promotion to National League Division Four (4). The club was at this level until 1973 after which was demoted to North Zone Division One where it has been competing ever since. 

Our club has produced one player that represented West Indies (Nyron Asgarali) during the 1957 tour of England and was the Trinidad & Tobago Regional cricket team captain during the years (1958-1959) and retired from Regional Cricket in the 1960’s. 

The club also produced players that represented Trinidad & Tobago which includes: Gregory Asgarali, Sydney Jagbir, John Suraj and S.M. Ali. As such we are a club that has a rich history and will continue produce players of that quality and would like to continue our participation in this competition.

 The current Executive of the Club includes: Mr. Don Asgarali (President), Mr. Frank Hitlal (Vice-President), Mr. Edmund Anthony Garcia (Secretary), and Mr. Lawrence Garcia (Treasurer)/Team Manager.  The team is coached by Mr. Oushman Ali and the current Captain is Mr. Raphael Ali.

 The club has been in existence producing young and talented players and will continue to do so in the Future.
