About

The North Zone Cricket Council was registered as a Non Profit Organisation on June 1st, 2021.

We organize and oversee the day-to-day running of cricket in North Trinidad. We service areas such as Blanchissuese, Maracas North Coast, Carenage, Woodbrook, Diego Martin, Barataria, and San Juan.

The Zone has two divisions. The Senior Division comprises eight teams that vie for promotion to Premier 2 of the TTCB competitions each year. In Division One, the teams vie for promotion to the Senior Division.

The competitions are the 2 Day League, Sunday League (40 Overs), and T20.

In 2023, the zone embarked on its first ever Womens’ Programme. The aim is to establish a pathway for female cricketers to achieve their cricketing goals.

We also prepare four age-group teams for Inter Zone competition each year. The teams are U19, U17, U15, and U13.

The players selected for national duty comprise players who would have performed well in the various competitions. National selectors chose the best players for the National (Red Force) and Regional (West Indies) Teams in their respective age groups.

An elected council governs the North Zone Cricket Council and comprises representatives from Clubs (6), North Zone Secondary School Cricket League (2), The Primary School Cricket League (2), and two (2) Special Members. The council comprises twelve (12) members.
