We begin the recognition and acknowledgement of some of our outstanding cricketers through a video series called “North Zone Treasures”.
This first edition features William Vicente Rodriguez, better known as Willie Rodriguez, who played for North Zone, St. Mary’s College, and Queens Park Cricket Club.
Willie also went on to captain Trinidad and Tobago and played five Tests for the West Indies from 1962-1968.

What an absolutely wonderful idea by the North Zonal Council to begin this amazing series. Starting with Mr. Rodriguez was also quite a nice touch and it certainly helps to bring the history of our cricket to the younger generation.
