Darius Padilla scores a hundred vs Combine All Stars

Santa Cruz Dominates as Round 3 Action Heats Up

Round 3 of the North Zone Senior Division was defined by clinical bowling and marathon draws, though one match ended in controversy.

The standout performance came at the Brian Lara Recreation Ground, where Santa Cruz Sports dismantled Ebony Sports Club by an innings and 89 runs.

George Malchan was the architect of the collapse, taking eight wickets in the match to leave Ebony shell-shocked.

Elsewhere, the runs flowed at North Coast as North Side Future Stars’ Darius Padilla struck a magnificent 109.

Despite a frantic second-innings declaration, they were forced to settle for a draw against Combine All Stars.

At the Ato Boldon Ground, Bourg Mulatresse CCC secured first-innings points against QPCC thanks to a brilliant 7/24 from Sheldon Homer Bayley.

The weekend was marred, however, at the Glenora versus Savannah Boys fixture, which was abandoned on Day 2 following an on-field altercation, leaving league officials with a disciplinary headache.
