North Zone Academy of Cricket (NZAC) Women secured a commanding nine-wicket victory over Cricket Lovers in the Trinidad and Tobago Women’s Cricket Association 30-over tournament on March 1 at the Barataria Oval.
NZAC captain Jessica Davis opted to field first after winning the toss. North Zone saw Cricket Lovers struggle against disciplined bowling, managing only 51 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 17.5 overs.
Kimora Daniel was the standout performer with the ball, claiming three crucial wickets for just 12 runs.

Naomi Ali supported with two wickets for 11 runs, while Jessica Davis, Abena Nesbitt also made breakthroughs.
Arielle Gomez top-scored for Cricket Lovers with 12 not out, the only batter for Cricket Lovers to get double figures. Nicole George was the next best batter with 8.
Extras, however, contributed significantly, with wides and no-balls adding 23 runs to the total.
Chasing a modest target, North Zone made light work of the score.
Ali anchored the innings with an unbeaten 28 off 42 balls, while Davis contributed a quick 9 not out.

Kimora Daniel fell early for three, but an unbroken 35 run partnership between Ali and Davis ensured a smooth chase, finishing on 52 for one in just 9.4 overs.
Sandy Williams claimed North Zone’s sole wicket, but the target was chased with ease, giving North Zone a comfortable nine-wicket win.
North Zone had lost their opening match to Bess Motors Marchin Patriots women by 10 wickets and will now take on Without Limits on 8 March at St Mary’s College Grounds from 12pm.
The North Zone women’s team is now fourth in the points table with 12 points from two games.
Victoria CC (29), Bess Motors Marchin Patriots (22), and Without Limits (14) are ahead in the standings.
