The North Zone T20 Festival 2025 will crown a new champion after a dramatic day of semi-final action at Diego Martin on Saturday.
Defending champions Santa Cruz Sports T20 were dethroned and Glenora Sports T20 powered their way into the title clash.
In the day’s opening semi-final, North Side Future Stars T20 held their nerve to edge Santa Cruz Sports T20 by nine runs.
Batting first after Santa Cruz won the toss and chose to bowl, North Side posted 158 for six in their 20 overs.
Jesse Sookwah (41 off 32 balls), Kwesi Fournillier (34 off 34), and Kyle Ramdoo (33 off 23) laid the foundation against disciplined spells from Shaquille John (2/29) and Chaedon Raymond (1/15).
In reply, Santa Cruz looked poised for another final appearance with Davis Guerra (38 off 31) and Kashmir Mitchell (28 off 19) threatening a late surge.
But North Side’s bowlers held firm to restrict them to 149 for nine, sealing a memorable victory and ending Santa Cruz’s reign as champions.
Later in the evening, Glenora Sports Club produced a commanding all-round display to defeat Barataria Ballplayers T20 by 30 runs.
Powered by aggressive knocks from Leonardo Julien (45 off 23) and Mikael Govia (42 off 23), Glenora posted 186 for six.

Despite a spirited 43 off 22 balls from Barataria’s Dexter Sween, who earlier claimed a superb 4/40, the chase fizzled out at 156 all out in 19.4 overs.
Joshua Clarke (2/15) and Govia (2/20) ensured Glenora’s passage to the final.
The stage is now set for an exciting showdown between North Side Future Stars and Glenora Sports Club, two teams brimming with youthful energy and momentum, as the North Zone T20 Festival 2025 crowns its new champion.
