North will take on Central in the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) U-13 Inter-Zone Tournament on Tuesday at the National Cricket Center, Balmain.
North beat East, North East, and Tobago in Group A matches to qualify for the semifinals.
Group B winners South East will face East in the second semifinal, which will take place at Grieg Street, Balmain.
Both games commence at 10am.
North beat North East by seven wickets at the St. Mary’s College Ground to make it to the semifinals.
Kemuel Yard claimed 3 for 12, while Jordison Wellington (2/18) and Davis Guerra (2/19) had two wickets apiece to limit North East to 145.
Larell Guiseppi (43) and Levi Burke (39) then led the charge for North as they won the game in the 26th over.
North’s opponents in the semifinals, Central, made it to the semifinals despite a 53-run loss to South West at Happy Hill Recreation Ground in Rousillac.
Keshav Mongru’s unbeaten 49 and Christiano Beharry’s 49 guided South West to 207 for 6 despite Caleb Mitchell taking 2 for 36.
Adrion Beharry took 5 for 18 to rip through the Central batting order to bowl out the former champions for 154 in 38.4 overs.
Shirdi Greaves had 2 for 20 while Varun Mahadeo took 2 for 27 for South West.
In Group B, South whipped South East by 32 runs but this was not enough, as they bowed out of the tournament despite the win.
Kaved Katwaroo’s 33 combined with wickets by Xyon Mohammed (2/14) and Jaden Sinclair (2/18) sparked South East’s charge for the victory.
East rolled past Tobago by seven wickets at Knowles Street to qualify as they ended as Group A runners-up.
